Section 7872. - Treatment of Loans With Below Market Interest Rates

  Rev. Rul. 88-54, 1988-27 I.R.B. 9, which set forth the applicable federal rates (AFR) and various other rates for July 1988, contained an error in the blended annual rate.  The correct blended annual rate for 1988 for purposes of section 7872(e)(2) of the Code is 7.72%.

  This correction to Rev. Rul. 88-54 will appear in that revenue ruling in this C.B.

                           EFFECT ON OTHER DOCUMENTS

  Rev. Rul. 88-54 is modified.
